Individual

All individual plans include:

• Unlimited tab completions
• Unlimited use of general models
• Access to all frontier models
• Access to shared pool for additional bonus usage
• If you run out of included frontier usage, all paid plans include a pay-for-usage charged at model inference API prices

For pooled access, we try to give as much unused credits as possible to each tier. Max users get higher priority for unused credits. Different models have different API costs, and cost structures (input/output/cache/rate variability):

• Model selection affects how quickly your included usage is consumed.
• Cost is inherently hard to pre-calculate: For example, Anthropic/Google will charge double the rate after context reaches a certain threshold, and cache hits/misses are dependant on their systems.

We aim make it as easy as possible to avoid unnecessary model spend:

• Intelligent context summarization
• Usage monitoring on your dashboard.
• Clear model listing guide.

Our end goal is to save much more of your engineering time, than what we charge to cover costs and sustainably grow.

How much usage do I need?

• Light editing with autocomplete/inline edits: free tier ($0/mo)
• Hobby developer on a single side project: developer tier ($30/mo)
• Daily agent usage for work: business/max tier ($60-150/mo)
• Coding nonstop - multiple agent tabs concurrently and default heavy mode: max tier ($150+/mo)

• Guaranteed $30 of frontier usage was used
• Another $10.88 of usage was used from the pool at no extra cost
• Usage resets Oct 12 (on successful payment)
• General models are still available

What happens when I reach my limit?

When you exceed your included monthly usage, you’ll be notified in the editor and can choose to:

• Add on-demand usage: Use Firebender with pay-as-you-go billing at API cost (enable in settings)
• Upgrade your plan: Move to a higher tier for more included usage and greater pool access
• Use another model: Use a general model

On-demand usage is only available for users with an active paid subscription.

Teams

There are two team plans: Business ($60/user/mo) and Enterprise (Custom). Team plans provide additional features like:

• Centralized team billing
• Pooled pay-as-you-go billing (shared usage at API cost for your entire team)
• Usage stats and member management
• SSO SAML and OIDC
• Set power users to Max tier

Business plan member upgrades

You may want to upgrade certain power users to Max plan for additional frontier model access. You can do this on the team page.

Enterprise plan

We recommend Business for any customer that is happy self-serving. We recommend Enterprise for customers that need priority support, custom limits, or advanced security controls. Any limit will be outlined in our custom service agreement. If you want a custom limit, email [email protected] from a company email with the number of engineers you’d like to support.

Sharing accounts

If your account is used on another computer concurrently, the request may fail and you’ll receive a polite message explaining what happened. To fix this, set up a Business account and invite all your colleagues.

Free Tier

Free tier limits are restrictive without access to most models, and is not designed for heavy use. To fully try Firebender, sign up for the 14-day free trial!
